A Hand Up

The Bethlehem House program focus continues to be that of building relationships. Families and individuals in residence move from being alone, afraid, ashamed and depressed to becoming independent, productive, self-supporting members of the community.

Homelessness is stressful. Therefore, nurturing and supporting the residents of Bethlehem House is a primary concern.

With these goals in mind, Bethlehem Houseoffers case management, employment assistance, life skills training, advocacy, education, vocational counseling, transportation, guidance, love and the support necessary to recover from the devastation of homelessness.

Length of stay for a resident is determined by the time needed to overcome the barriers to independent living. Residents meet regularly with staff to evaluate their progress toward personal goals.
